About Us

The GoldWings Along The Allegheny, GWTA - PA Chapter "J", is affiliated with the Gold Wing Touring Association (GWTA),

an international not-for-profit organization of touring motorcyclists, predominantly Goldwings but not exclusively.

We identify ourselves with the Goldwing but are neither affiliated with, nor receive funding from, the manufacturer.

GWTA exists as an organization wholly owned by the membership to promote a positive image of motorcycling,

safe riding habits, and social interaction with those who share an enthusiasm for the touring lifestyle.

In plain English, we like to hang out with our friends, make new friends, go for short rides, long rides and every other kind of ride in between!

The official GWTA moto is " Destination Friendship ".

Do not let the words "Goldwing" scare you off.
We want to ride with anyone on ANY kind of motorcycle!

Our chapter was founded and chartered on May 15, 2010 due to a need for a new GWTA chapter in the southwest portion of Pennsylvania.

Our first GWTA official chapter meeting was held on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Theresa's Royle Allegheny Restaurant in West Kittanning.

The meeting was attended by our Pennsylvania State Directors, the CD's from Chapter "B" and our own members.
